Awareness Campaign
IMDSA’s mosaic Down syndrome Awareness Campaign runs every year throughout the month of March to celebrate and raise awareness of mDs and World Down Syndrome Day. This story can then be shared however the family wishes - email, text, Facebook, Instagram and X (Twitter) are all options! We plan to feature individuals and their fundraising page starting on February 24th through March 21st on IMDSA's Facebook and Instagram to highlight their extraordinary lives!
What is World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD)?
World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), March 21, is a global awareness day officially observed by the United Nations since 2012.
The date for WDSD, the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome, which causes Down syndrome.
You hereby grant and authorize International Mosaic Down Syndrome Association (IMDSA) the right to take, edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, distribute and make use of any pictures or videos taken of my child or me by the International Mosaic Down Syndrome Association (IMDSA) to be used in any legal or promotional materials including, but not limited to, newsletters, flyers, posters, brochures, advertisements, fundraising letters, annual reports, press kits, awareness campaigns, and submissions to journalists, websites, social networking sites and other print and digital communications, without payment or any other consideration. This authorization extends to all languages, media, formats and markets now known or hereafter devised. This authorization shall continue indefinitely, unless I otherwise revoke said authorization in writing.
I understand and agree that these materials shall become the property of the International Mosaic Down Syndrome Association (IMDSA) and will not be returned.
I hereby hold harmless and release International Mosaic Down Syndrome Association (IMDSA) from all liability, petitions, and cause of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executers, administrators, and any other person may make while acting on my behalf or behalf of my estate.
