Thanks for responding Villager. Although I've heard many defioitinns for one-hit wonder, this is the first time I've heard it with that criteria (having a #1 hit out of the gate ... and never following it up with another #1 hit). With that criteria, other artists such as Sheena Easton, Eurythmics, The Pet Shop Boys, and The Spice Girls would be considered "one-hit wonders"... even though they had several hits after their first smash went to #1. Maybe there should be a category called "one #1 hit wonders" or something... I'm just saying. :-)Now that you mention it, I also wonder if schools teach drafting anymore.

Malcolm - Melvin Riley did have a career in music after RFTW broke up. However, I think that the otrhes are working regular jobs now. re: One-Hit Wonder. The definition is having a #1 hit out of the gate ... and never following it up with another #1 hit. I don't think that Digital Display or Love You Down made it to the top of the charts.re: Flint schools -- I wonder if any school still teaches 'drafting'? I remember taking that course back in the day and enjoying it very much. Nobody uses pencils anymore (sigh)...

Good pick! But the Jones Girls are definitely not one hit wdoners. "You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else", "Nights Over Egypt" and "I'm At Your Mercy" come to mind. Back to Ready For The World...They are from my hometown and I remember when they were riding high on the success of "Oh Sheila. This song takes me back to the Big 80's.

Hi Stephanie, that is my absolute faovirte chocolate! I love your ink drawings--especially the cathedral! I sketch sometimes on transparent paper, but the surface is just to "slippery" for my taste. What kind of paper do you use?

Hi I'm Jose from Puerto Rico and my wife follows your blog. I felt the same way as you and are an actvie hands on dad. Our daughter is 23 months and co sleep with us and is homeschooled with love. I'm glad she is so smart and healthy. I'm so attached to her and helps my wife in taking care of our daughter just the same as she does. Is hard that society doesn't understands well families as us, we feel in defensive mode all the time but in the end we are doing the right thing.
