 Mental Health & Regression Research with Dr. Ruth Brown

Dr. Ruth Brown's Bio.

Join IMDSA for a community-centered webinar featuring Dr. Ruth Brown, a leading researcher focused on improving mental healthcare for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Dr. Brown will share insights from her research addressing mental health disparities in the IDD community and provide updates on her Down Syndrome Regression Rating Scale Study, which aims to better understand and identify regression in individuals with Down syndrome and mosaic Down syndrome.

This webinar is designed to support families, caregivers, and anyone interested in learning more about mental health and regression in mosaic Down syndrome. Participants are encouraged to submit questions in advance to bhellard@imdsa.org so Dr. Brown can address the topics most meaningful to our community.

Language, Literacy, and Executive Function in Mosaic Down Syndrome

Join IMDSA for a community-centered webinar featuring Dr. Susan Loveall and Emma Conradi to explore language, literacy, and executive function in individuals with mosaic Down syndrome. Dr. Loveall will provide an overview of these skills and share practical strategies to support learning and reading development. Emma Conradi will share findings from her master’s thesis, highlighting the language and reading abilities of individuals with mosaic Down syndrome. The presentation will also introduce an upcoming study aimed at further examining the executive function skills of individuals with mosaic Down syndrome. The webinar will conclude with time for Q&A.
