2026 IMDSA Research & Retreat Weekend

– What to Expect

Our 2026 Research & Retreat (R&R) Weekend will look a little different than in years past — and we are incredibly excited about the opportunities this creates for our families.

This year, IMDSA is coordinating our weekend alongside the international RT21 Collaborative conference taking place just a short walk away at the Grand Hyatt Denver.

As part of your IMDSA R&R registration, families will have the opportunity to attend the Science & Society sessions on Saturday at no additional cost. These sessions are designed to make research accessible, meaningful, and engaging for families and self-advocates.

This collaboration allows our community to connect more deeply with leading researchers while still enjoying the supportive, relationship-focused experience that makes R&R so special.

  • Connecting with other families and researchers

  • Gaining insights that can directly impact the mosaic Down syndrome community

If needed, the hotel will be happy to hold your luggage after check-out so you can fully participate before departing.

A Weekend of Connection, Learning & Community

The IMDSA Research & Retreat Weekend continues to be a unique opportunity to:

  • Build lifelong connections with other mosaic families

  • Learn directly from experts in the field

  • Share lived experiences that shape future research

  • Empower self-advocates and caregivers alike
